A tribute to the Chet Atkins guitar style as told by a forty-something year old guitar geek, Doc Booger (Chris Bogen), who probably spent too much time watching late night movies and listening to weird music while he was learning how to fingerpick. "Picks the Drive In" features 5 of Chris's fingerstyle guitar arrangements and one of Chet's with some arrangement liberties. Featuring stellar engineering and production by Kevin Edlin and Chris Bogen with guest performances by Duane Denison (Jesus Lizard, Tomahawk), Allen Jones, and Thomas Grillo.
